Sometimes

Sometimes you think you've healed until you realize you haven't,

Sometimes you have the most beautiful exquisite moments,

And sometimes the feels are too much,

You get in your own way,

Sometimes you rise from the ashes like a Phoenix,

And sometimes you crash into the arms of those you love because you have nowhere else to go,

Sometimes you run away,

Sometimes your armor comes across as rudeness shielding you from...what? 

Sometimes home is your only safe place and you just want to be there,

Your family and friends like the blanket you wear over your shoulders right now from your best friend the only thing holding you together because you can almost feel her arm around your shoulder.

And your Mom texting you to come home and knowing she'll be there when you arrive,

And sometimes there are tears, a lot of them, 

And you learn, sometimes. 

And the learning helps you grow and see yourself anew

Sometimes.
